Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Viani Limardi, has officially sued the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) for Rp. 1 trillion. He said he would not take a step back and invited all to prove all the accusations in court.

Viani sued PSI to the Central Jakarta District Court with the lawsuit registration number PN JKT.PST-102021KJM dated 19 October 21.

He emphasized that the allegation of inflating recess funds was a form of slander that could not be tolerated.

“This has harmed my career, the name of my extended family, including residents of DKI Jakarta. The inflating of the recess funds is slander,” explained Viani Limardi in a written statement received by CNNIndonesia.com, Wednesday (20/10).

According to Viani, it is natural for him to take this matter to court because it is considered to have damaged his political career.

In the attachment of the file, Viani Limardi sued Rp1 trillion to the Central Executive Board, the Board of Trustees and the Regional Leadership Council of PSI.

However, Viani Limardi realized that in fact he did not want to do this, but the accusation of inflating the recess funds really hurt his feelings.

“I obey the law. What is my obligation I will carry out. Likewise with rights. As citizens, we both obey the law and applicable laws,” he added.

“I will not take a step back. This is about my good name, political career and my family. We will prove it in court. May God be with us and the truth can be revealed,” said Viani.

PSI’s Central Executive Board (DPP) had previously dismissed Viani from membership and board members.

PSI DPP chairman Isyana Bagoes Oka said the imposition of sanctions against Viani was a long process and had been carried out in accordance with internal party procedures.

He said the process also involved a fact-finding team who worked day and night to collect evidence of relevant information and information from dozens of witnesses.

“The decision to dismiss is based on objectivity, not personal like or dislike. This is part of the results of PSI’s evaluation of all DPRD members in accordance with the party’s internal mechanism,” Isyana said in a written statement.
