Quarantine for International Travelers Just 3 Days
Government Spokesperson for Handling Covid-19 Wiku Adisasmito revealed the latest policies related to screening for international travellers to Indonesia. One of them is the adjustment of the duration of quarantine obligations for international travelers who have received the full dose of vaccination to three days.
Meanwhile, for international travelers who have not been vaccinated in full, the quarantine obligation remains in effect for five days.
“Adjustment of the mandatory quarantine duration to 3 days for international travelers who have received the full dose of vaccination, 5 days for international travelers who have not been vaccinated with the full dose,” said Wiku in an online press conference, Tuesday (2/11).
Wiku revealed, as directed by President Joko Widodo, the obligation to retest or a second RT PCR to complete the quarantine period also applies according to the duration of each quarantine.
According to him, the second RT PCR retest or exit test was carried out on the 3rd day for the 3-day quarantine obligation and the exit test on the fourth day for the 5-day quarantine obligation.
In addition, other policies for screening other international travellers are mandatory testing with negative results a maximum of 3x24 hours before departure. While the obligation to have received a minimum of 14 COVID-19 vaccinations after the injection and the obligation to retest or enter the test upon arrival at the entrance.
“This rule adjustment applies at all international arrivals and is contained in the latest task force policy,” said Wiku.
