Suicide Bomber 2 People, Riding a Matic Motorcycle

Police presented the latest data related to the investigation into the bomb blast case at the Makassar Cathedral church, Sunday (28/3) at 10.30 WITA. From a temporary inspection, the perpetrators of the suicide bomb were suspected to be two people.

“2 people were riding in a 2 -wheeled vehicle with a matic number number DD 5984 ND. It was alleged that 2 people were riding in and then there was an explosion in front of the gate of the Cathedral church,” said Kadiv Public Relations Polri Irjen Pol Argo Yuwono, in a press conference, Sunday (28/ 3).

Argo said the 2 perpetrators would enter the courtyard and door of the cathedral church. At that time, there was indeed a Palma Mass, a series of Easter worship.

“Seeing a lot coming out of the church is not full in line with the prokes of half of the congregation present,” he added.

Then, 2 suspected perpetrators will enter the church. But, their steps were stopped by the church.

“That’s when there was an explosion,” he said.

Police did find a number of body parts around the church. But, Argo has not been able to confirm whether the body part belongs to two perpetrators or just one person.

“We’re still in,” he said.
