Minister of Health Budi Issues Bad News About Covid-19, Here’s What It Says

Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin conveyed bad news regarding the death cases due to Covid-19.
According to him, the majority of deaths from Covid-19 occurred in people who had not been vaccinated.
“60 percent of those who died had not been vaccinated or the two doses of vaccination were not complete,” Budi said at a press conference, quoted from JPNN.com, Tuesday (15/2/2022).
Furthermore, Minister of Health Budi revealed that only four provinces where complete dose vaccination for the elderly had reached the target of 70 percent.
Areas that have reached the vaccination target for the elderly are DKI Jakarta, Bali, DI Yogyakarta, and the Riau Archipelago.
The former deputy minister of SOEs also added that within three months, more than 10 million people had not received the second dose of vaccination.
“The second dose has not been vaccinated, which is more than three months or it is too late, there are more than 10 million,” said Budi.
Then, the number of people who have not been vaccinated for the second dose within six months is 2.5 million.
For this reason, Minister of Health Budi asked the local government to accelerate the implementation of vaccination.
Meanwhile, the public is expected not to choose the type of Covid-19 vaccine.
